"Eraser", oil on panel, 6 x 6


This is a well worn buddy of mine. Not the kind I usually use, found this one under a table in the studio. I like the green color though and the fact that the edges are not hard and straight like so much else in my studio. I guess being a landscape painter primarily I prefer the more irregular edges.

"Orange Gate" 18 x 14, oil on wood
This is a scene from the mountains in North Georgia. I am always drawn to a strong play of light and dark with a splash of color. The clearing skies from a summer storm help by adding the compliment color blue to play against the orange of the gate. I really like the depth I got in this painting.
